On Koji, Enterprise workspaces can build brand themes with a logo, primary colour, corner style and font, keep one theme per client, and pick the right theme for each study. Participants then see that brand on the welcome screen and through the whole interview, by text or by voice. Koji does the moderating, transcription and thematic analysis behind it.\n\nThis guide covers why branding matters for participation, what \"white label\" should actually mean for an AI interview tool, and how to set up a multi-client workflow without mixing up brands.\n\n## Why branded interviews get better participation\n\nPeople decide in a few seconds whether a research invitation is worth their time, and the first thing they check is who is asking.\n\n- **Sender familiarity moves response rates.** In a randomised experiment with US emergency medical services agencies, survey requests from a familiar sender got a 54.3% response rate against 36.9% from an unfamiliar sender. In the follow-up nationwide survey the gap held at 62.0% versus 51.0%. ([EMSC Innovation and Improvement Center](https://emscimprovement.center/programs/grants/197/maine-state-partnership/))\n- **Brand consistency is worth money.** Lucidpress (now Marq) surveyed brand managers at more than 200 organisations for its State of Brand Consistency report. They estimated that presenting their brand consistently would lift revenue by 33%, up from 23% in an earlier edition. ([Agility PR](https://www.agilitypr.com/pr-news/marketing-news/4-steps-to-more-consistent-branding-and-33-more-revenue/))\n- **The market is large and crowded.** ESOMAR values the global insights industry at US$153 billion in its Global Market Research 2025 report. ([Research World](https://researchworld.com/articles/inside-the-153bn-insights-industry)) Agencies compete for that work partly on how polished their deliverables look, and the participant experience is one of those deliverables.\n- **AI in research is now normal.** In the User Interviews State of User Research 2024 report, 56% of researchers said they use AI to support their research, up from 20% the year before. ([User Interviews](https://www.userinterviews.com/state-of-user-research-2024-report)) Clients are no longer surprised by an AI moderator. What they still notice is a page that looks off-brand.\n\nWhen a customer of your client opens an interview link and sees an unfamiliar logo, two things happen. Some people close the tab because they do not recognise who is asking. Others carry on but answer more guardedly because they are not sure who will read their answers. A themed interview page deals with the first problem and helps with the second.\n\n## What \"white label\" should mean for AI interviews\n\n\"White label\" gets used loosely. For an AI interview platform, the parts that matter to a participant are:\n\n1. **The welcome screen.** Logo, colours and type that match the brand they already know.\n2. **The live interview.** The same look carried into the conversation, voice included, so the experience does not switch brands halfway through.\n3. **Consistency across devices.** Colours that look the same on every screen.\n4. **Separation between clients.** A theme for one client should never turn up on another client's study.\n\nHere is how Koji handles each of these today.\n\n| What participants see | How Koji handles it |\n|---|---|\n| Welcome screen | The theme's logo, primary colour, corner style and font |\n| Text interviews | The same theme throughout the conversation |\n| Voice interviews | The same theme, with the logo shown on the live interview |\n| Light and dark devices | Interview pages use light mode, so brand colours look the same for everyone |\n| Several clients | Up to 25 named themes per Enterprise workspace, chosen study by study |\n\nWhat it is not: Koji does not host interviews on your own domain, and interview links are Koji links. If a client contract requires a custom domain, raise that before you scope the project.\n\n## How brand themes work in Koji\n\nBrand themes belong to the workspace, so the whole team works from the same set.\n\n**1. Create a theme per client.** Workspace owners and admins open Workspace settings, then Branding. Each theme has a name, a logo, a primary colour, a corner style and a font. Koji picks a readable text colour for buttons automatically, or you can set it yourself. Corner styles run from sharp to pill, and the font list covers common web faces such as Inter, Roboto, Open Sans, Lato, IBM Plex Sans and Merriweather, plus the system default. A live preview shows the result as you edit.\n\n**2. Set a workspace default.** Mark one theme as the default and new studies use it unless you choose otherwise. If most of your work goes out under your agency brand, make that the default and switch per client.\n\n**3. Pick the theme on each study.** In the study's Branding & Settings tab, Brand theme is the first section. The picker shows each theme by name, colour swatch and logo, and it names the theme behind \"Workspace default\", so nobody launches a study for Client A in Client B's colours.\n\n**4. Launch as usual.** Share the link, or send [personalised interview links](/docs/personalized-interview-links) from an imported list, and add [screening questions](/docs/screening-participants-effectively) so only the right people get through. The theme applies on every participant-facing page of the study.\n\nFull setup steps are in [Customizing Branding](/docs/customizing-branding).\n\n## A multi-client workflow for agencies\n\nBranding is one part of running research for several clients from one account. A setup that works:\n\n- **One workspace, many themes.** Keep your team in a single Enterprise workspace and create a theme per client. Brand assets stay with the workspace, not with whoever built the first study.\n- **Limit who sees each study.** Share a study or folder with named people or groups, at Viewer, Editor or Full access, so a client stakeholder can read their own study without seeing anyone else's.\n- **Let Koji run and analyse the interviews.** The AI moderator asks adaptive follow-up questions in text or voice, and Koji turns the conversations into themes, quotes and a report you can [publish and share](/docs/publishing-sharing-reports) with the client.\n- **Quote per interview, not per hour.** Credits are charged per interview, not per minute. A text interview costs 1 credit and a voice interview 3, credits cost €1 on every plan, and interviews that score below 3 on the Koji quality scale are not charged. That makes per-study pricing simple to quote to a client.\n\nFor the wider agency playbook, including how to package AI interviews as a service, see [User Research for Agencies](/docs/user-research-for-agencies) and [Customer Research for Agencies](/blog/customer-research-for-agencies-2026).\n\n## How this compares with other research tools\n\nMost research tools offer some branding, but it often stops at a logo on a form. Before you choose a tool for client work, check four things:\n\n1. Does the branding carry into the interview itself, or only the landing page?\n2. Does it cover voice as well as text?\n3. Can you keep separate themes for separate clients in one account?\n4. Who does the moderating and the analysis once the participant is in?\n\nForm and survey tools such as Typeform and SurveyMonkey brand a questionnaire well, but the questions are fixed and nothing probes a vague answer. Panel-based testing platforms such as UserTesting give you recordings that someone still has to watch and code. Koji puts a branded page in front of an AI moderator and automatic analysis, and that combination is where an agency saves time. For detail, see [Koji vs UserTesting](/blog/koji-vs-usertesting-2026) and [AI-moderated interview platforms compared](/blog/ai-moderated-interview-platforms-2026).\n\n## Common mistakes with client-branded research\n\n- **Low-contrast brand colours.** Pale yellows and light greys disappear on white. Koji chooses button text for contrast, but check the preview anyway.\n- **Forgetting the default.** If the workspace default is your agency theme, every new study wears it. Look at the Brand theme section before you publish.\n- **Huge logo files.** Use a wordmark at about twice its display size, which is usually well under 100 KB. Koji rejects oversized files.\n- **Two clients in one study.** If a study covers customers of two clients, split it into two studies so each participant sees the right brand.\n\n## Who should use brand themes\n\n- **Research and UX agencies** running studies for several clients at once.\n- **Consultancies** that deliver customer research as part of strategy work.\n- **Multi-brand companies** where each product line has its own identity.\n- **Enterprise teams** whose brand guidelines require on-brand touchpoints with customers.\n\n## Run your next client study under their brand\n\nBrand themes are available on Koji Enterprise plans. If you run research for clients, [talk to us about Enterprise](https://www.koji.so/pricing) to set up a workspace, create your first client theme and launch a branded study the same day.
