Koji is an AI-powered customer research platform designed to help teams conduct scalable, conversational interviews. Our Services enable you to create research projects, conduct AI-moderated interviews, and generate insights from participant responses.

Using Our Services

Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use our Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
• Collect personal information from participants without proper consent
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated means to access our Services without our permission
• Interfere with or disrupt our Services or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our Services

Your Content

Ownership

License to Koji

By using our Services, you grant Koji a limited license to use, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our Services to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

Responsibility for Content

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content complies with applicable laws and does not violate any third-party rights. You must obtain appropriate consent from interview participants before collecting their responses.

Interview Participants

When you use our Services to conduct interviews, you are responsible for:

• Providing clear information to participants about the purpose of the research
• Obtaining informed consent from participants before they begin
• Ensuring participants understand their responses will be processed by AI
• Honoring any promises made to participants regarding data use and privacy
• Complying with all applicable research ethics and data protection laws

AI-Generated Content

Our Services use AI to conduct interviews and generate insights. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should:

• Review AI-generated insights before relying on them for decisions
• Verify important findings with original participant responses
• Understand that AI outputs are tools to assist, not replace, human judgment

Payment and Billing

Certain features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy.

Intellectual Property

Our Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content created by Koji, are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Services without our permission.

Disclaimers

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOJI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Koji and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our Services, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using our Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice. Upon termination, your right to use our Services will cease, but provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.
