Donut chart
Engagement and burnout profiles of university students
Four profiles found among Finnish higher education students

The four student profiles Salmela-Aro and Read found when they grouped 12,394 Finnish higher education students by engagement and burnout together. The engaged and exhausted group, 30% of students, is the one a satisfaction-only course evaluation is most likely to miss. Programme directors can use it as a reason to ask about progress and exhaustion as well as satisfaction. Koji course evaluations follow each rating with a question about the reason behind it.
