What to do after a round of validation interviews

Flowchart for after validation interviews: segment if signals conflict, pivot if most did not share a painful problem, otherwise explore solutions.
An invalidated idea is a good result. It saves months of building something nobody buys.

A short decision flowchart for the end of a validation round. If the signals conflict, segment the interviews by role, company size or industry, since you may have talked to two kinds of customer. If most people did not describe the same painful problem, pivot the hypothesis. If they did, move on to exploring solutions. It turns validated, invalidated and unclear results into a next step.
