Change-of-control interview setup in 7 steps
From the template to a stay-risk report

A seven-step setup for interviewing the largest customers of an acquisition target. It starts from the Customer Reference Checks template, sets guardrails so the interviewer stays off the transaction, imports contacts with account, role and contract columns, and ends with a report sorted by account. It is written for deal teams working inside an exclusivity window. The steps follow how a study is built in Koji.

What's in this process
- Start from the template: Open Customer Reference Checks in the Due Diligence group and swap in the interview guide.
- Shape the brief and questions: Paste the one-line brief. Keep question 5 as a 1 to 10 scale and question 8 as a single choice.
- Set guardrails: Keep the interviewer off the deal, prices and other customers until the announcement.
- Choose voice or text: Each person picks on their own landing page. Both land in the same report.
- Import the contacts: One row per person with account, role, exit_right and phase columns. Each gets a personal link.
- Preview, then invite: Run the preview yourself. Send links with a note from someone the customer knows.
- Read the report by account: Export, join to the consent map and sort accounts into the stay-risk grid.
