Four principles of customer-centered design

Four working principles for customer-centered product teams: use research to inform decisions rather than make them, keep listening between projects, share customer insight with the whole team and prefer fast iteration over a perfect first version. Use it to review how your team runs research today.

What's in this framework
- Data-informed, not data-dictated: Research gives evidence, not answers. You still need judgment to make the call.
- Continuous, not episodic: Build feedback loops into the process so you stay in step with customers between projects.
- Whole-team ownership: Share insight widely so engineers, designers and PMs all decide with it.
- Iteration over perfection: Release early, learn fast, adjust course. Small bets carry less risk.
