Disclosure vs elaboration in research interviews

Two separate things an interviewer has to get right. Disclosure is whether people say the difficult thing at all, and decades of mode-effect research show automated modes do better because no human is judging. Elaboration is whether people explain why, which depends on real-time follow-up and has historically favored skilled human interviewers. Use it to separate the two questions when judging AI-moderated research tools such as Koji.
