The best Voxpopme alternatives in 2026 are Koji, Conveo, Outset, Listen Labs, VideoAsk, Rival Technologies and Qualtrics. If you came to Voxpopme for richer open-ended answers than a survey can give, and you do not strictly need video on file, Koji is the strongest alternative: an AI interviewer runs voice or text conversations, probes each answer, and writes the report, with published prices from free. If recorded video is the deliverable, Conveo and Outset are the closest AI-moderated matches, and VideoAsk is the budget option for simple async video.

Voxpopme has been a pioneer in video feedback since 2013 and is used by large consumer brands such as PepsiCo and Mars. In 2025 it added an AI Moderator. But video carries real costs for participants and researchers, and the AI interview category has moved quickly. Here is how the alternatives compare.

What Voxpopme does today

Voxpopme sells three products: video surveys, live interviews and AI insights (pricing page). In June 2025 it launched AI Moderator, which runs asynchronous AI-moderated video interviews with a built-in screener and demographic targeting. In September 2025 it added smart probing and stimulus testing. It integrates with survey platforms such as Qualtrics, Alchemer and Forsta.

On pricing, Voxpopme lists self-serve Solo, Team and Pro tiers, with the Solo plan under $200 a month for one user and access to its audience sold as a paid add-on. Enterprise pricing is quote-based. Published figures have varied between snapshots, so check the live page.

Why teams look for Voxpopme alternatives

Video asks a lot of participants. Recording yourself on camera is a bigger ask than typing or talking. Some people decline, others give short, self-conscious answers, and reviewers on Capterra mention uneven respondent video quality. Fewer completes means higher cost per usable answer.

Open-ended answers are hard to get in the first place. Pew Research Center's analysis of its American Trends Panel found that closed-ended questions average 1% to 2% nonresponse, while open-ended questions average about 18%, ranging from 3% to over 50%. Asking someone to record a video answer adds friction on top of that. A conversational format that asks one question at a time and follows up tends to be easier to finish.

Follow-up questions are where the value is. Qualtrics reported in 2024 that when its AI asked a follow-up question, respondents added more information about 40% of the time. A single recorded answer misses that second layer unless the moderator probes well.

AI is now the default, not the add-on. Qualtrics' 2026 Market Research Trends report found that 95% of researchers use AI tools regularly or are experimenting with them. Platforms built around AI from the start often feel simpler than older tools that have added it later.

1. Koji

Koji replaces the "record your answer" model with a conversation. An AI interviewer talks with each participant by voice or chats by text, asks the questions from your brief, and probes vague answers in real time. People who would rather not appear on camera can still talk it through. Koji then scores each interview and builds an aggregated report with themes, sentiment, segment filters and quotes you can share as a public link.

Why Koji is a strong Voxpopme alternative:

  • Voice without the camera. Participants choose to talk or type. Voice interviews capture tone and detail without asking anyone to appear on video. Read about voice vs text interviews.
  • Only pay for good answers. Every interview gets a quality score, and only interviews scoring 3 or more use credits or enter the report. The score is capped by how much the participant actually said, so one-word answers and filler do not count. See understanding quality scores.
  • Panel built in. Recruit from panel partners in 130+ countries from the study's Panel recruit tab, see the price before you launch, and soft-launch part of the goal first to check quality. Credits are held at launch and unused credits come back. See panel recruitment.
  • Screeners on every route. Screening questions run before every interview, whether the person came from the panel, an email or your website.
  • Clear pricing. Free (10 one-time credits), Insights €29/month, Interviews €79/month, Enterprise from €500/month. A text interview costs 1 credit and a voice interview 3. See the plan comparison guide.
  • For agencies and brands. Enterprise plans add brand themes so each client's interviews carry their logo and colours. Interviews run in 28 languages.

The honest trade-off: Koji does not record participant video, so it will not produce a video highlight reel of faces for a boardroom. If that reel is the deliverable, choose Conveo or Outset. If the deliverable is understanding why customers behave the way they do, Koji is built for exactly that, with a lower entry price and no sales call. See our full Koji vs Voxpopme comparison.

2. Conveo

Conveo is the closest modern match for Voxpopme's consumer brand customers. Its AI interviewer asks dynamic follow-up questions, and participants answer by video, audio or text. It raised a $50M Series A led by DST Global in September 2026 and says more than 400 enterprises use it, including Google, Unilever and AB InBev. Conveo publishes a Free plan and a Starter plan at $1,250/month billed annually, with Enterprise on request.

3. Outset

Outset runs AI-moderated interviews by video, voice and text in more than 40 languages and connects to more than 25 recruiting panels. It raised a $30M Series B in December 2025 and serves enterprise insights teams at companies such as Microsoft and Nestlé. Pricing is custom.

4. Listen Labs

Listen Labs runs AI interviews at large scale and is being acquired by Salesforce, which signed a definitive agreement on September 29, 2026. Salesforce cites a network of more than 50 million potential participants and support for more than 120 languages. Pricing is not public.

5. VideoAsk

VideoAsk, from Typeform, is a simple async video tool: you record a question, people reply by video, audio or text. It has a free tier and low-cost paid plans priced by processing minutes. It is built for quick async replies rather than AI-moderated probing interviews, so it suits testimonials and lightweight feedback more than research.

6. Rival Technologies

Rival runs mobile-first chat surveys with video and voice answers. It merged with Angus Reid Group in 2025 to form Rival Group, which gives it its own community panels. Pricing is not public. A good fit for market research teams that want community-style engagement.

7. Qualtrics

If you already run Qualtrics, its video feedback and AI follow-up questions may cover part of what you used Voxpopme for, without another vendor. Qualtrics made AI video summaries generally available in 2023. Pricing is quote-based and usually part of a wider contract.

How to choose

  • You need video clips of real customers: Conveo, Outset or Listen Labs, or stay with Voxpopme.
  • You need depth and volume, and video is optional: Koji. Voice and text interviews with AI probing, a quality gate and a built-in panel.
  • You need quick async video replies on a budget: VideoAsk.
  • You are standardised on Qualtrics: try its built-in video and AI follow-ups first.

Demand for this kind of work keeps rising. Maze's Future of User Research 2026 report found that research demand grew 20% year over year. The winning setup is the one that turns more conversations into decisions with the same team.
