Question bank
AI feature pricing interview questions

Ten interview questions for researching willingness to pay for an AI feature before launch. They start from what the buyer does and spends today, test which billing unit they would accept and how much bill variability they can live with, find the amount that needs sign-off, and close with the four Van Westendorp price questions. Use them in buyer interviews or as an AI-moderated interview guide in Koji.

What's in this question bank
The job today
- Walk me through the last time you did this job. Who did it, and how long did it take?
- What do you spend on it today, in tools, services or staff time?
Billing and sign-off
- If this were billed per task, how would you estimate what you'd use in a month?
- Would a bill that changes month to month be a problem? What would make it OK?
- Which is easier to get approved, a fixed add-on per seat or a usage charge? Why?
- At what monthly amount would this need someone else to sign off?
Price range (Van Westendorp)
- At what price would it be so cheap you'd doubt it works?
- At what price would it feel like a bargain?
- At what price would it start to feel expensive?
- At what price would it be too expensive to consider?
