Comparison
Normalized gain: traditional vs interactive engagement
Hake's 1998 survey of 62 introductory physics courses on the same concept tests

Results from Richard Hake's 1998 survey of 62 introductory physics courses and 6,542 students who took the same concept tests before and after the course. Traditional lecture courses averaged a normalized gain of 0.23; interactive-engagement courses averaged 0.48. Useful for quality teams who want direct learning evidence next to student ratings. Koji can collect student feedback that helps explain why a course's ratings and learning gains disagree.
What's in this comparison
