The six steps of paying research participants in Koji, from turning on an incentive in a study to the participant choosing a gift card, prepaid Visa card or charity donation. It is for researchers who want to thank participants without a separate payout tool. Each reward is approved beside the interview's quality score, so you pay for real answers.

What's in this process

  1. Turn on the incentive: In the study settings, choose the amount each participant gets.
  2. Top up the rewards balance: From the study page or Usage. Every euro you add is a euro of rewards.
  3. Participant leaves an address: The thank-you screen at the end of the interview asks where to send it.
  4. Approve with the quality score: Approve, approve all or deny on the Interviews page, with each interview's score beside it.
  5. Koji emails a claim link: In your study's brand and valid for 30 days. Unclaimed money returns to your balance.
  6. They pick their reward: A gift card, a prepaid Visa card or a donation to charity.
