When to schedule research interviews to cut no-shows

Table comparing lower and higher no-show risk for research interviews by day of week, time of day, lead time, session length and scheduling method.
Midweek, mid-morning, three to seven days out and a self-serve link: the safest slot to book.

A table of the scheduling choices that raise or lower the risk of a research participant not showing up. Tuesday to Thursday, mid-morning or mid-afternoon, three to seven days of lead time, sessions of 30 to 45 minutes and a self-serve scheduling link carry the lowest risk. Mondays, Fridays, same-day bookings, slots two or more weeks out, hour-long sessions and email back-and-forth carry the highest. Use it when you set up the calendar for a study.
