Survey response boost by incentive type
Pooled results from 46 randomised controlled trials

Pooled response ratios from a systematic review and meta-analysis of 46 randomised controlled trials of survey incentives, published in PLoS ONE in 2023. Money raised response the most (1.25), then vouchers (1.19) and lotteries (1.12), each against no incentive. These are survey trials, so read it as a direction when you plan how to thank people for a customer interview.
