Column chart
Manager engagement worldwide, 2022 to 2025

Gallup's State of the Global Workplace 2026 report shows the share of managers engaged at work falling from 31% in 2022 to 27% in 2024 and 22% in 2025. Gallup says the drop in manager engagement explains most of the recent fall in global engagement. HR teams can use it to make the case for checking how managers are coping after a delayering, for example with a short round of interviews with their teams.
