Framework
Four kinds of evidence on graduate skills
What programme evaluation can use beyond satisfaction and employment rates

A framework for programme reviews that need evidence of what graduates can actually do, rather than how satisfied they were or whether they found a job. It pairs direct assessment with three indirect sources that get closer to real skill use. Programme directors and quality teams can use it to plan the graduate outcomes section of a review. Koji helps gather the interview-based evidence from graduates and employers.
What's in this framework
- Direct assessment: Capstones, portfolios or common tasks marked against programme outcomes, with external moderation.
- Skill use at work: Ask graduates what they have actually had to do, not whether they feel prepared.
- Self-report with examples: When graduates rate their own skills, ask for a recent example.
- Systematic employer evidence: Structured conversations with employers who did and did not hire your graduates.
