The six structured question types in AI interviews
What each type captures and how it shows up in a report

The six structured question types Koji supports inside an AI interview: open ended, scale, single choice, multiple choice, ranking and yes/no. Each one captures a different kind of data and appears in the report as a matching chart. Mix one to three of them with open-ended questions so every number arrives with the reason behind it.

What's in this framework
- Open ended: Pure qualitative. The AI asks and probes for depth. Best when you don't know the categories yet.
- Scale: A numeric rating such as 1 to 5, 1 to 10 or NPS 0 to 10. Reports show the distribution, average and median.
- Single choice: Pick one option from a list. Reports show a frequency bar chart. Best for segmenting people.
- Multiple choice: Pick any number of options, with an optional Other. Reports show a stacked frequency chart.
- Ranking: Order items by preference or priority. Reports show the average position of each item.
- Yes/No: A binary question that opens up a follow-up. Reports show a pie or donut chart.
