Checklist
Questions to ask students after a proctored exam
Ask what happened, not whether they liked it, and ask before grades are released

Eight questions a university can put to students within a few days of an online proctored exam. They focus on facts such as technical failures, false flags, adjustments and whether an alternative was offered, the kind of evidence that regulators and the oversight duties in the EU AI Act point to. Use them in a short evaluation kept separate from teaching quality. Koji can run these as a conversation that follows up on each problem a student reports.
What's in this checklist
- Did you have any technical problems before or during the exam?
- Were you flagged, interrupted or asked to repeat a check, and told why?
- Did your room, connection or device make the rules hard to meet?
- Did you get the disability or health adjustment you needed?
- Were you offered an alternative, such as an on-campus sitting?
- Were the rules and the data collected explained beforehand?
- Did worry about being monitored affect how you worked?
- What one change would have made the exam fairer?
