Comparison

Topic summary vs theme in thematic analysis

Comparison of a topic summary and a theme: a topic collects what people said about a subject, a theme makes a point about it.
The most common error in published reflexive TA, and a quick test to catch it

Shows the difference between a topic summary and a real theme in reflexive thematic analysis, with an onboarding example. Use the test on the right when you name themes: if the name could have been written before any interviews, it is probably still a topic.
