Conveo Alternatives (2026): 6 AI Interview Platforms Compared

Conveo just raised a $50M Series A, and it is on more shortlists than ever. Here are six alternatives, from self-serve Koji with public per-interview pricing to Listen Labs, Outset, Strella, GetWhy and Glaut, with formats, panels and how each one sells.

Short answer: The best Conveo alternatives in 2026 are Koji if you want to run AI interviews yourself on public, per-interview pricing; Listen Labs if you want a built-in panel and an enterprise contract; Outset if you need text, voice and video moderation with usability testing; Strella for fast AI-moderated consumer interviews; GetWhy for managed video studies with researchers reviewing the work; and Glaut for voice-first interviews in many languages. Conveo itself is a strong video-first platform for enterprise consumer research, but it is sold through sales, and one review site lists its starting price at US$45,000.

Why people look for Conveo alternatives now

Conveo is having a big year. The Antwerp company, founded in 2024 and backed by Y Combinator, raised a $50M Series A in September 2026, on top of a $5.3M seed in March 2025 (Axios, Tech.eu). Fortune covered the round as part of a wider story about AI replacing the focus group (Fortune).

A funding round like that puts a vendor on every shortlist, and it sends buyers to compare. The demand is real. In Maze's 2025 Future of User Research report, 58% of teams said they use AI tools in research, up from 44% in 2024, and 55% saw demand for research rise over the year (Maze). The same survey found 63% name time and bandwidth as their biggest challenge. AI interviews answer that problem directly: the AI holds the conversations, so a small team can run dozens of interviews at once.

The reasons teams look past Conveo tend to be practical:

  • Price and access. Conveo does not publish prices. Software Advice lists a starting price of US$45,000, with pricing based on total interview minutes per study (Software Advice).
  • Video isn't always the right format. B2B users and busy professionals often won't go on camera.
  • Thin independent reviews. G2 has only a couple of reviews. One reviewer said the AI sometimes misreads long topic guides and that reports could not yet be exported to PDF or slides (G2).

What Conveo does well

Be fair to Conveo before you leave it. It runs AI-moderated interviews by video, voice or text with dynamic follow-up questions, in 50+ languages according to its product page. You can bring your own participants by CSV, QR code or WhatsApp, or use integrated B2C and B2B panels such as Respondent. Its analysis produces highlight reels per theme and links every finding to the source clip (Greenbook). It says it works with 400+ enterprises, including Google, Unilever and AB InBev. If you are a consumer brand that wants video evidence on an enterprise contract, it belongs on your list.

1. Koji: best for running your own AI interviews at a known price

Koji is an AI-native research platform you run yourself. You type what you want to learn, an assistant drafts the research brief, and an AI interviewer holds the conversations by voice or text in 28 languages. You can also send a call-back link or have Koji phone a list of numbers. Koji does not do video.

What sets it apart from Conveo:

  • Public pricing. Free with 10 credits, Insights at €29 a month (29 credits), Interviews at €79 a month (79 credits), Enterprise on request. A text interview uses 1 credit and a voice interview 3. Extra credits are €1.
  • You only pay for usable interviews. Every interview gets a quality score from 1 to 5, and only interviews scoring 3 or more use credits or enter the report.
  • Structure and depth in one interview. Open questions with AI follow-ups sit next to scales, single and multiple choice, ranking and yes/no questions, and you choose how deep the follow-ups go, so one study gives you both the numbers and the reasons.
  • Recruit or bring your own. Recruit from Koji's panel on paid plans and see the cost per interview before launch, or import a CSV so each customer gets a personal invite link (Interviews and Enterprise plans). Screening questions turn away people who don't fit before the interview starts.
  • Findings you can check. The report shows findings, recommended actions and personas, and you can trace each finding to the quotes behind it.

Best for: product, research and marketing teams who want to run studies often without a sales cycle, including B2B teams whose users won't go on camera. For a closer look, read Koji vs Conveo.

2. Listen Labs: best for a built-in panel at enterprise scale

Listen Labs runs AI interviews and pairs them with a panel it says reaches about 30 million participants. Outputs include reports, highlight reels and decks, plus a searchable repository. It raised a $69M Series B in January 2026 led by Ribbit Capital (Pear VC) and counts Microsoft, Sweetgreen and Robinhood among its customers.

Pricing: not published. Listen Labs describes a subscription plus credits, with a self-serve tier for smaller teams and a demo for companies over 100 employees. Vendr reports a median contract of about $21,875 a year (Vendr).

Best for: larger companies that want recruiting and moderation in one contract.

3. Outset: best for multi-format moderation and usability tests

Outset runs AI-moderated interviews by text, voice and video, and adds screen sharing on prototypes, live sites and mobile apps. It says it works natively in 40+ languages. It has no panel of its own; teams bring participants or use partners such as Prolific and User Interviews. Outset raised a $30M Series B in December 2025 led by Radical Ventures, with Microsoft's M12 taking part.

Pricing: custom plans with no public prices, and no free tier (Outset).

Best for: enterprise UX teams that want interviews and usability sessions on one platform. See Strella vs Outset for a head-to-head.

4. Strella: best for quick consumer interviews

Strella runs AI-moderated interviews with real-time probing and lists Amazon, Duolingo and Chobani as customers. It raised a $14M Series A led by Bessemer in October 2025. Pricing is seat-based according to a Bessemer case study, but no figures are public.

Best for: consumer brands that want fast qualitative reads without a video-heavy workflow.

5. GetWhy: best for managed video studies

GetWhy, based in Copenhagen, designs studies, recruits from a multi-vendor panel and runs AI-moderated video interviews, with researchers reviewing each study. It says it turns studies around in 48 hours. It is the closest match to Conveo on format and buyer, but more managed. Pricing is through sales. Our Koji vs GetWhy comparison covers it in detail.

Best for: global consumer brands that want video plus expert oversight on each project.

6. Glaut: best for voice-first interviews across languages

Glaut, from Milan, runs AI-moderated voice interviews in 50+ languages and sells mainly to B2C brands and research agencies. It is a smaller, earlier-stage company than the others here, with no public pricing.

Best for: agencies running multilingual voice studies for clients. See Koji vs Glaut.

How to choose

Start with format. If your stakeholders need faces on video, stay with Conveo or look at GetWhy and Outset. If voice and text are enough, and for most product and B2B research they are, the field opens up and prices drop.

Then look at how you buy. Enterprise contracts make sense when research runs in a few big projects a year. If your team wants to test a question this week and another next week, a self-serve platform with public prices will cost less and move faster.

Whatever you pick, test it the same way. Write one real research question and run it on two shortlisted tools. In Koji you can preview the interview yourself by voice or text for free before anyone else sees it. Here is what a full study looks like from start to finish:
