What to tell a client about how AI-moderated research was done
A nine-point checklist for the method and AI slide in a client research deliverable: who took part, how they were recruited, what the AI did, what the research team did, which tools were used and how personal data was handled. It follows the client transparency duties in the 2025 ICC/ESOMAR Code and MRS and ESOMAR guidance. Agencies running AI-moderated interviews in Koji can fill it in straight from the study setup and report.

- Who took part: audience, screening and how many interviews
- How they were recruited: client list, panel or open link
- Interview mode and language: voice, text or both
- What the AI did: moderation, follow-up probes, first-pass analysis
- What your team did: brief design, checking every finding, the recommendation
- Which AI tools touched the project, and at what stage
- How personal details were removed before analysis
- Known limits and possible biases, including any from AI
- Where the client can see the evidence behind each finding
