The 7-slide customer research readout
A seven-slide structure for presenting customer research to executives, a board or investors: the decision and your answer, what you did and with whom, three findings with a number and a quote each, the recommendation with an owner, and what you do not know yet. Everything else goes in an appendix. Koji reports download as an editable deck you can cut down to these seven slides.
Where this appears
What's in this process
- The decision and your answer: One sentence. If someone reads only this slide, they leave with the conclusion.
- What you did and with whom: How many people, who, how you reached them, when, and who you did not talk to.
- Finding one, with evidence: A sentence that stands alone, the number behind it and one verbatim quote.
- Finding two, with evidence: Same shape: the finding, the base, a quote attributed by role, what it means.
- Finding three, with evidence: Three is a ceiling, not a target. The rest goes in the appendix.
- What you recommend: The action, the owner and the date.
- What you do not know yet: The limits, the risk if you are wrong and the next study.
