Process
A one-week workflow to reach and document saturation
Six steps from planning to an evidence-backed stopping decision

A six-step, one-week routine for reaching saturation in an interview study and proving it. It starts with choosing the saturation type and a sample with a buffer, then tracks new codes per interview, checks thin codes for meaning saturation and ends with a documented stopping decision. Koji's live thematic analysis makes the new-code curve visible while the study runs.

What's in this process
- Day 1: Plan: Pick the saturation type. Set a target sample plus a 3-interview buffer.
- Day 2: Launch: Open an AI-moderated voice study with a guide on the target topic.
- Days 3 and 4: Monitor: Watch new codes per interview. Most homogenous studies reach code saturation at interviews 9 to 12.
- Day 5: Check meaning: Find codes with only one or two quotes and run interviews to develop them.
- Day 6: Document: Write a saturation table, a code-frequency figure and a stopping statement.
- Day 7: Decide: New themes in the last batch? Run 5 more interviews. If not, close the study.
