Short answer: Conveo does not publish a price list, and there is no self-serve signup. What it does publish is the shape of the bill: you prepay credits, and analysis is charged at a base rate per interview minute, with an uplift for some advanced video analysis. Conveo's own agency pricing page shows a worked example of 1,500 minutes at $5.00 a minute, or $7,500 for hosting and analysis, before recruitment and incentives. For enterprise contracts, Software Advice lists a starting price of US$45,000. If you want to run AI-moderated interviews this week without a quote, Koji publishes its prices: 1 credit per qualified text interview, 3 per voice interview, €1 per credit, and 10 free credits to start.
This guide explains how Conveo's per-minute billing works, what a real study is likely to cost once panel and incentives are added, which questions to ask on the demo, and when a pay per interview tool is the better fit.
Why teams are pricing Conveo now
Conveo is one of the most talked-about AI interview platforms of 2026. The Antwerp company, founded in 2024 and backed by Y Combinator, raised a $50 million Series A in September 2026, according to Axios, on top of a $5.3 million seed in March 2025 (Tech.eu). It says it works with more than 400 enterprises, including Google, Unilever and AB InBev.
The demand behind that round is real. Maze's 2026 Future of User Research report, based on nearly 500 responses, found that 69% of researchers now use AI in at least some projects, up 19 points in a year (Maze). In Maze's 2025 edition, 55% of teams said demand for research had risen and 63% named time and bandwidth as their biggest challenge (Maze). An AI moderator that runs dozens of interviews at once answers that problem directly, so finance teams are now being asked to budget for one.
The trouble is that Conveo's pricing page sends you to a demo. Here is what can be pieced together from Conveo's own documentation and from third parties.
How Conveo bills: credits and interview minutes
Conveo's billing documentation describes a credit system. You buy credits, shown in US dollars, and the balance pays for two things: analysis and recruitment. Each study bills to one account and needs approval before it launches.
The analysis charge works like this:
- A base rate per interview minute. Most analysis is billed at a single rate for every minute participants spend in an interview.
- An uplift for advanced analysis. A few capabilities do extra work on the video, such as UX and screen interaction analysis or diary studies. Conveo's agency pricing page says each one adds 0.33 times the AI rate for the interviews that use it.
- You pay for minutes used. The agency page says billing follows the minutes participants actually spend, capped at the length Conveo estimates for your discussion guide.
That is a sensible model for video research. Long, rich interviews cost more because they take more processing, and short ones cost less. It also means your bill depends on how talkative your participants are, which is hard to predict before a study runs.
Every Conveo study budget comes down to four lines:

- Interview minutes at the base rate. The core charge for hosting and analysis.
- Analysis uplifts. Extra cost on interviews that use advanced video analysis.
- Recruitment fees. A per-participant fee when you recruit through an integrated panel.
- Participant incentives. What you pay the people you interview.
What a Conveo study actually costs
The only public numbers come from Conveo's agency page and from third-party listings. Treat them as estimates:
| Source | What it says | How much to trust it |
|---|---|---|
| Conveo agency pricing page | Example estimate: 1,500 minutes at $5.00 a minute = $7,500 for hosting and analysis | A sample calculation, not a list price |
| Conveo agency pricing page | Each advanced analysis capability adds 0.33 times the AI rate | From Conveo, but may differ on enterprise plans |
| Software Advice listing | Starting price of US$45,000, based on total interview minutes | A directory listing, likely the enterprise entry point |
| Third-party buyer guides | Recruitment through Respondent at about $6 per participant, plus incentives of about $1 per interview minute | Secondhand, so confirm on the demo |
Working the numbers
Take a typical study: 30 participants, 20-minute interviews, recruited from a consumer panel. Using the figures above as illustrations:
- Minutes: 30 × 20 = 600 minutes. At $5.00 a minute, that is about $3,000 for hosting and analysis.
- One analysis uplift on every interview (for example screen interaction): 600 × $5.00 × 0.33 ≈ $990.
- Recruitment: 30 × $6 = $180.
- Incentives: at about $1 a minute, 600 × $1 = $600.
That comes to roughly $4,770, or about $160 per interview, before any platform commitment. If Conveo's enterprise entry point of US$45,000 applies to your team, the same maths says you would need to run about nine studies of this size a year to use it up.
These are illustrations, not quotes. Your rate per minute may be lower at higher volumes, and B2B participants cost far more to recruit and pay than general consumers.
What Conveo does well
It is worth being fair to Conveo before you look elsewhere. It runs AI-moderated interviews by video, voice or text, asks dynamic follow-up questions, and says it supports more than 50 languages. You can bring your own participants by CSV, QR code or WhatsApp, or use integrated B2C and B2B panels. Its analysis goes beyond transcripts to tone and non-verbal cues, produces highlight reels per theme, and links each finding to the source clip.
If you are a consumer brand testing concepts, ads or packaging, and your stakeholders want to see faces on video, Conveo belongs on your shortlist. The per-minute model also suits agencies, which can pass the minutes through to client budgets.
Independent reviews are still thin. G2 has only a handful, and one reviewer noted that the AI sometimes misread long topic guides and that reports could not yet be exported to PDF or slides (G2). Ask about both on the demo.
Questions to ask on the Conveo demo
A per-minute model leaves more room for surprises than a per-interview one, so get these in writing:

- What the platform fee includes: seats, studies, languages, support.
- The credit price for each audience you plan to recruit.
- What counts as a billable complete, and whether a short or off-topic interview is still billed by the minute.
- The rate for interviewing your own customers.
- Whether unused credits expire, and when.
- The renewal increase, in writing.
- Export of raw transcripts and recordings if you leave.
Add two Conveo-specific ones: which analysis capabilities carry an uplift on your plan, and what your base rate per minute is at the volume you expect.
Who Conveo is right for
Conveo fits an insights team or agency that runs planned consumer studies, wants video evidence, and has a research budget set at the project or annual level. The more you rely on facial expression, tone and on-screen behaviour, the more the per-minute analysis earns its cost.
It fits less well when research is a weekly habit rather than a project. A product manager who needs 15 conversations before a planning meeting, a founder testing a pricing idea, or a B2B team whose customers will not go on camera will pay for video capability they do not use. Lyssna's 2025 synthesis survey of 300 practitioners found that 60.3% of practitioners say time-consuming manual work is their biggest frustration; a sales cycle before the first interview adds to it.
The pay per interview alternative
If a per-minute contract is more than your research needs, Koji runs AI-moderated interviews with its prices on the website:
- A price per interview, not per minute. A qualified text interview uses 1 credit and a voice interview uses 3, whatever its length. Credits cost €1. A 30-interview voice study with your own customers uses about 90 credits, or about €90.
- Billing tied to quality. Each interview gets a quality score from 1 to 5. Only interviews scoring 3 or more use credits or appear in the report, so a participant who clicks through without saying much costs nothing.

- No sales call. Sign up, get 10 free credits with no card, and run a real study. Buy credit packs as you go, or choose a monthly plan: Insights at €29 (29 credits) or Interviews at €79 (79 credits). Purchased credit packs last 12 months.
- Voice, text and phone. AI voice interviews and text chat in 28 languages, plus phone interviews billed at 0.6 credits a minute.
- Numbers and reasons in one study. Six question types (open ended, scale, single choice, multiple choice, ranking and yes/no), with AI follow-up questions on the answers.
- Recruit your way. Share a link, send personal invite links from a CSV on the Interviews and Enterprise plans, or on a paid plan use panel recruitment and see the cost in credits before you launch. Screening questions turn away people who do not fit.
- Try it first, free. Preview your interview by voice or text as a participant would. Previews never use credits.
Reports build as interviews arrive, with themes, findings you can trace back to the quotes behind them, and personas.
Where Conveo is ahead: Koji does not record webcam video, so it has no facial-expression analysis or video highlight reels. If those are the deliverable, Conveo is the better choice.
