Process
21-day confirmatory customer research timeline
From the signed LOI to the committee report

A six-step, 21-day timeline for customer research during confirmatory due diligence. It starts with building three customer lists, moves through a preview, personal invitations and a first read at 15 completed interviews, and ends with a committee report that shows each list side by side. It fits inside the average private equity exclusivity period. Koji can run the interviews and the report.

What's in this process
- Days 1 and 2: cut the lists: Build lists A, B and C and open the Customer Reference Checks template.
- Day 3: preview it yourself: Run one interview, check the tone and set the guardrails.
- Day 4: send personal links: Give each customer a link and a 3 to 5 day window.
- Day 7: remind, then read: Remind non-starters. By day 10 aim for 15 completed interviews and a first read.
- Days 11 to 17: chase and probe: Chase the biggest accounts and add questions for what the first read raised.
- Days 18 to 21: report to committee: Show lists A, B and C side by side with the quotes behind each finding.
